The experience

You don't need to know how to pose.

And honestly, I prefer it that way.

On your wedding day, my job isn't to turn your day into a film set. I'd rather you forget fairly quickly that Mathys and I are even there.

I talk with your parents. I laugh with your witnesses. I learn everyone's name. I know when to step closer, and above all when to leave you be.

Because the images I care about most are almost never the ones we planned. It's your father looking at you without a word. Your witness breaking down at the wrong moment. Your grandmother on the dance floor. The fit of laughter that completely ruins the “beautiful couple shot.”

You live it. We watch.

And a few months later, you discover your wedding as you had never seen it before.

“It never felt like we were being filmed. It felt like sharing the experience with a friend.”
Aaron & Ryan

Who will be there

I rarely come alone.

There's Mathys. We've been filming together long enough to know what the other is about to do before he does it.

When I'm with you, he's watching your parents. When he's with the guests, I'm somewhere else. When something happens in two places at once, we don't have to choose.

And above all, we spend a good part of the day with you. So it might as well be with people you'll be glad to have around.

It matters far more than people think.

In practice

A presence, not a production.

You have nothing to perform.

I work mostly in the moment. The few directions I give are simple, and mainly there to help you forget the camera.

You enjoy your guests.

I won't pull you away from the cocktail hour to manufacture shots. I'd rather work with what's really happening.

Your loved ones are part of the film.

A wedding isn't only the story of two people. It's also everyone who was there around them.

We know each other before the big day.

Video calls, conversations, an engagement session: the wedding isn't the first time we meet with a camera between us.

Choose your experience.

Two ways to be present on the day. In every case, the same artistic standard, the same documentary approach.

A film that tells the whole story, from the civil ceremony to the last song. I'm there from start to finish, never watching the clock, and I also gather the words of your loved ones. It's the format for days that overflow: a civil ceremony a few days earlier, an evening that runs long, relatives who travelled far and belong in the film.

Complete coverage of your day, within a scope we define together. Twelve hours of presence, from getting ready to the first dance, for weddings with a clear timeline. It's a complete format, not a reduced one.

Travel fees.

They depend on your location, the season and how long we stay on site. So they’re itemized separately from the package, in your quote, and always announced before you sign anything.

Whether your wedding is in Provence, Italy or on a Greek island, you know the amount before you commit. No surprises, ever.

When coverage takes place outside the stay

Some moments happen on a different date, sometimes months earlier: a civil ceremony in March, a religious ceremony in spring. These remain included in your experience when they’re part of it, but they require a dedicated trip, itemized in your quote.

When everything takes place during the same stay (a civil ceremony the day before, a brunch the day after), no supplement applies.

FAQ

What I’m asked most.

That’s a lot to read. Can we just talk?

Gladly. It’s what I prefer. A thirty-minute video call says more than any brochure, and it lets me understand your day before I propose anything. Write to me with your dates, your venue, and a few words about you.

What’s the actual difference between the Liberté Experience and The Grand Chapter?

It isn’t a question of hours. The Liberté Experience tells the story of your wedding day without ever watching the clock. The Grand Chapter tells the whole weekend: we’re there the night before at the welcome dinner, on the wedding day, and the next morning at the brunch. And those two moments aren’t just filmed, they’re edited: you receive a welcome dinner mini-film and a brunch mini-film, on top of the main film and the teaser. Four films instead of two, across three days instead of one.

We’re really not comfortable on camera.

That’s what almost every couple tells me, and it’s exactly why I work in a documentary style. I never ask you to perform anything. For the couple session, there are just five of us, away from the guests; I give you two or three very simple cues, and the rest happens on its own. The best images almost always come from a burst of laughter.

Do you travel?

Anywhere. Provence, Italy, Greece, and happily farther afield. When we travel, we usually arrive ahead of time: enough to meet your family, learn the venue, and be in the right place on the day without having to look for it. That said, one day is plenty to tell the story of a wedding. What decides the format is how your day unfolds, never how many days there are.

Who will be there on the day?

Mathys and me. We’ve worked together for a long time and split the moments without needing to speak, which lets us be in two places at once when the day divides.

Why also film on a VHS camcorder?

Because the texture changes what people do in front of the lens. A VHS doesn’t look like professional gear, so no one performs. The footage is imperfect, a little unsteady, and feels more like a memory than a film. I slip a few minutes of it into every edit.

What’s the delivery time?

Twelve weeks, including editing, grading and color. If you’d like your film sooner, express editing delivers it in one month.

Can we pay in installments?

That’s already how it works: payment is split into four, from quote approval to one week before delivery. If your situation calls for a different pace, tell me and we’ll arrange it.

Can we ask for something that isn’t in this brochure?

Yes. A wedding held in two countries, a religious ceremony on a separate date, a format you have in mind that you don’t see anywhere here: tell me, and we’ll build the quote around it.

Why I film this way

I film for twenty years from now.

I'm not trying to manufacture the perfect wedding. I'm looking for what feels like you, today.

The voices. The gestures. The people. The imperfections. The way your parents looked at you. The sound of your grandparents' voices. Your friends before they had children. Your own children, if they're already here, still tiny.

Because twenty years from now, it probably won't be the drone shot that means the most. It'll be them.

Let’s take the time to talk.

I reply within 48 hours.

Shall we meet?
